Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I am writing to object to the proposed allocation of HG1 KS2 Eastbrook in the RLDP. My concerns are based on the impact this development would have on transport, commuting, and daily travel through the area.
As someone who commutes from Dinas Powys, I already experience congestion around Eastbrook, especially at school times and near the station. Getting out onto the main road is a nightmare. The roads are narrow, more often backed up, and difficult to navigate safely. Adding a large number of new homes would increase traffic on routes that are already struggling to cope. Schools and health facilities are full. This is not the right place for development- it would cost a fortune and would be far too risky. It can never be safe.
Eastbrook Station is also not accessible for many people due to the steep steps. Encouraging residents to use the train is unrealistic when the station cannot be safely accessed by those with mobility issues, parents with prams, or anyone carrying heavy bags. More commuters would simply mean more cars on the road.
The fields next to the station also become heavily waterlogged after rain. This causes standing water on nearby roads, which slows traffic, reduces visibility, and makes conditions unsafe for drivers and pedestrians. More hard surfaces from a new development would push even more water onto the roads, making commuting conditions worse. I walk my dog in those fields daily, the water is unbelievable. It's a floodplain and the only one in the vicinity - where will the water go into the village and traumatise those residents again.
For these reasons, and many, many more! There are NO advantages for the people of this village I do not believe HG1 KS2 Eastbrook is a suitable site for development, and I ask that it is removed from the RLDP.
