Effeithiau ar y Gymraeg:

I do not think there will be any effect as the vast majority of residents in Dinas Powys are not Welsh speakers.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I wish to object to the proposed construction of a further 250 house in Dinas Powys for the following reasons:
a) From personal experience it seems that in Dinas Powys, notably the "scholars park" development, a number of "affordable" homes, have been used to house drug addicts, which has caused years of distress despite repeated complaints to the police and the VOG council's partners "United Welsh". It would appear that "new build", affordable housing is being used to house "drug addicts" in the local community, without informing them. This has lead to years of distress, frustration and despair for local residents.
b) Building large scale housing, without improving infrastructure, will lead to traffic chaos, drainage problems and mean gridlock in Dinas Powys, the main route from Barry into Cardiff and possible increased flood risk to an already worried local population, many of whom have been flooded in recent times
c) Adding a large number of families to the local population will put an increased strain on local services with oversubscribed schools and put pressure on an already stressed and straining health practice.
