Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to the proposed 250 homes north of Dinas Powys due to concerns over increased congestion on the A4055 Cardiff road, which already suffers peak-hour traffic issues. I believe the current public transport plans are insufficient to address this, if existing transport options solved this issue there wouldn't be any existing traffic. Additionally, I am worried about strain on local services such as schools and healthcare. The development risks eroding Dinas Powys’s identity by turning it into a suburban extension of Cardiff, with minimal community or commercial expansion. Overall, I feel residents’ concerns have not been adequately addressed.

Testun llawn:

Objecting and commenting on Site Planning reference HS1 KS2, The land North of Dinas Powys planned for an additional 250 homes.
I am Writing to object to the planned houses as a resident of Dinas Powys based on the negative impact the site is more than likely to have on multiple points as follows:
Impact on congestion- A4055 Cardiff road, This road already suffers for extensive congestion at peak traffic hours as well as at certain off peak times often with backlogs all through Dinas contributing to negative effects on local air quality, an introduction of 250 houses off of this road, right in the key area where the traffic forms will cause an increase in traffic upon completion as well as possible additional disruption during construction phases. The reports I have seen to address this merely comment on available bus services for access to Barry and Cardiff. If they were effective in solving and preventing congestion issues there would be less of a problem as of current. However adding additional residents onto the current issue will only serve to expand it. referencing current public transport only is a failure of the developers to address any issue or concern regarding possible increased congestion with the introduction of another 250 houses.
Impact on Local services - Dinas as a village is already at a capacity where there is a strain on Local schools and doctors. once again the reports fail to adequately address how these impacts would be reduced on the local community.
Erosion of Dinas Powys Identity. - I chose Dinas to live as a small village with personality that has good connections into Cardiff versus other locations in the area, As more Houses are built without any expansion on commercial sites or other community aimed areas it runs the risk of becoming a commuter suburb and the sort of built up area I sought to avoid when moving here. Wales has a reputation of being full of fabulous green areas even near the cities. Creating housing estates with some green features doesn't alleviate that. It Still just becomes urban expansion and will eventually change Dinas into an expanded suburb of Cardiff
Overall I don't think any response I have seen so far adequately addresses mine or other residents concerns on the impact of the development sufficiently in anyway that could garner my support of the project.
