Excellent but integrate Traditional Architecture longer term to blend this setting in to the area.

Testun llawn:

Utilise Traditional Architecture Design Codes for all new construction with a ban on demolition of all buildings constructed prior to 1950. See my PDF Umbrella Representation for additional Placemaking/ Planning and Greenery Proposals.

Why is model farm being targeted again. It has been a part of Barry and much loved. It has tenanted by the same family for very many years. A piece of Barry’s history that should be protected. Not destroyed

Newid wedi’i awgrymu gan ymatebydd:

Please rethink the destruction that will be caused to our environment if we keep letting housing developers buying of green field sites keep them for years. They can afford to wait and keep submitting planning applications. These companies don’t consider green fields as anything precious.

Cardiff Airport is under utilised. The council needs to support increased services from Cardiff Airport. Public transport links to the airport are inadequate at present. While I support the idea of an enterprise zone and business developments at St Athan for example are positive I fear without major improvements in roading and transport links development of new enterprise areas will be in vain. Road links from the Vale to the M4 need to be considerably improved in order to attract major industry and business to the area first. This should be prioritised before the enterprise zones are developed.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The development of Cardiff airport is reasonable for the local economy. But Planning seems to be systemically blind. They are clearly not engaged in joined-up thinking. If the laudable aim is to develop Cardiff Airport and there is a major artery road connecting the airport to Cardiff and the M4, that is Port Road, going immediately past the KS1 site, would be it rational behavior to introduce another 700+ cars (from the KS1 site) disgorging immediately at the "pinch-point" of the Weycock Cross roundabout? Do the planners really imagine this will help future airport development?

Increased Use of Cardiff Airport – Environmental and Transport Impacts
The RLDP’s support for increased activity at Cardiff Airport further undermines its environmental and sustainability claims. The plan fails to acknowledge the significant negative impacts that increased aviation activity will have on nearby communities, including St Athan, Flemingston and Eglwys Brewys. More flights and airport‑related traffic will increase noise pollution, carbon emissions, and congestion on the A4226, B4265 and surrounding rural roads. The RLDP offers no credible mitigation strategy for these impacts.
