I believe that the proposal for building 250+homes will have a detrimental and devastating effect on Dinas Powys and the surrounding area.
1. Wildlife disturbance-foxes, newts, rabbits will all be effected.
2. Grasslands + Wetlands would vanish
3. Removing vegetation and soil.
4. Public rights of way lost.
5. Risk of flooding
6. Loss of wildlife
7. Destruction of ancient trees and hedgerows.
8. Increase in traffic and pollution and heavy congestion
9. Infrastructure affected
10. Doctors surgery to full capacity
11. Schools in area at full capacity
12. Hedgehog habitats
13. Water quality and hydrology-construction pollution
14. Peatlands of Carbon sinks
15. Historical/Cultural heritage - loss of historical landscape
16. Air pollution and emissions from construction.
17. Habitat loss + biodiversity-land clearing, development destroy natural habitats.
