I strongly object to the proposed development at HG1 KS2.
The development of this site will lead to an increased flood risk to Dinas Powys. A community which is already experiencing flooding episodes, that will no doubt increase in the coming years.
The development of this site will lead to an additional increase in traffic on an already highly congested and polluted road. The increased traffic flow from the housing developments in Barry and Dinas Powys have compounded this problem. The increased traffic flow will lead to law breaking pollution levels putting the residents and children of Dinas Powys at increased risk of traffic pollution related illness and poor health.
The development will add to an already overburdened local GP surgery and local schools system. The development of this site will lead to the loss of green wedge and natural habitat.
The development is unstable to be considered for active travel. The pavements to and from the site in addition to the Railway Station at Eastbrook do not legally comply to be considered to be included in active travel consideration. In conclusion Dinas Powys has seen considerable housing development without any meaningful investment in services or infrastructure and this cannot be allowed to continue. The resident of Dinas Powys feel this is the wrong development, for the wrong reasons, in the wrong site.
