As a long term resident of this area (nearly 50 years) it has become obvious to me that the volume of traffic is currently over capacity. Walking along the length of Pontypridd road and onto port road, the traffic fumes are evident and unpleasant. I am disappointed that plans, turned down, previously, have been overturned. The problems are much much worse. I note that run off from the development and roads will make its way into the nant stream and eventually into Porthkerry Park. This stream already has sewage making its way from the overworked Pumping Station, during heavy rain!! Therefore environmental impact will be compounded by excess water run off. The extreme amount of houses and buildings proposed is much bigger than the original.
