I would like to voice my objection to the proposed development at Weycock Cross for the following reasons.
Road already congested with current amount of traffic, this not including the proposed 6000 daily movements suggested by the business park at Cardiff airport or the proposed developments at Rhoose and St Athan .
Proposed traffic lights to enter and exit the site will cause more traffic build up to an already dangerous roundabout.
If there was to be a major incident at Cardiff Airport, Emergency Services would be held up or not get through at all.
Destruction of a greenfield site / valuable Farm Land for building purposes.
Also loss of habitats for our wildlife
We owe it to future generations to safeguard our beautiful countryside, that we have been fortunate to grow up with
Lack of drainage facilities, current rainwater seeps into the land, if the development goes ahead this will not happen due to concrete and tarmac surfaces, where will run off go?
Overloading of existing sewage system which will increase raw sewage being deposited into what once was a beautiful coastline, which has now turned into an open cesspit and is a danger to life.
I’m sure there are brown field sites that can be utilised, in a much safer and suitable position
