I feel these proposed homes will not attract welsh speaking people. Usually new homes attract people from outside the area with little or no interest in welsh.
I am appalled the consideration to build yet more houses on this site in Dinas Powys. We are already bottled in with traffic and this proposal will only increase the problem. The same access roads will be used which are extremely busy all times of the day and night, with no let up. Also with so many dwellings proposed, there is an increased chance of flooding with water running into Cadoxton River which has burst on more than one occasion flooding homes in Dinas Powys.
I have lived here for over 60 years and have seen the impact all the new houses have had on the infrastructure, apart from the loss of green spaces in the village. What was a pleasant place to live has been turned into an urban bottleneck. The village has been utterly spoiled and this proposal will just add to it.
Our doctors surgery and our local schools are already at capacity, with no plans for any new facilities.
The boundary between Dinas Powys and Llandough would be even smaller, these should be protected, let alone the impact on loss of wildlife, loss of green space and trees.
