Traffic capacity at Weycock is at 100% at peak times with no room for improvement. The route is the main access for airport traffic and emergency services that will be delayed. There will be a huge impact on health, schools and infrastructure. The development would also result in loss of habitats, breeding grounds and green wedge and increase water runoff overwhelming drainage into Millwood and causing flooding. It will increase pollution of streams in Porthkerry and outflow into the sea. the proposed mitigation will do nothing. The site ahs previously been refused and the situation ha sonly got worse.

Traffic capacity at Weycock cross is at 100% at peak times currently with no room for improvement. development in Rhoose and Vale will significantly increase this before this development brings the area to a standstill. This will lead to increased pollution and disruption for local residents.
this route is the main access for the airport for people travelling as well as emergency services. The increased traffic will have a detrimental effect on emergency vehicles and safety.
This development will have a huge impact on health, schools and infrastructure. The current services are already sketched beyond capacity. Local residents are finding a lack of school places at the nearest option meaning increased travel and increased traffic.
The proposed development would lead to the loss of habitats and breeding grounds which cannot be recreated also here. the loss of the above green wedge would increase water runoff and overwhelm current drainage into the Millwood leading to flooding and damage. It would increase pollution of the streams through Porthkerry Country Park. and outflow into the sea. The proposed mitigation does nothing to reduce this only delay the inevitable.
this site has previously been refused on the above and more and since then nothing has changed in most points it has got worse and needs to be removed.
