I can see the logic of Wales Transport Strategy 'to reduce the need to travel and the dependency on private cars' and that 'settlements must be sustainable and in the right locations', however I would see this is a clinching argument "against" the HG1 KS1 site. The lack of public transport, the total impracticality of walking and cycling to major amenities and services within Barry, the steadily increasing density of existing and future traffic, the building over of usable farmland, outside the historic limits of Barry, urban sprawl towards Rhoose. All this militates against the NW Barry site
