Sustainable housing growth is required, but the HG1 KS1 site is not a good place for it. Destruction of a historical Green wedge (defended by former planners in the 1990s and 2015), which essentially tried to stop urban coalescence and sprawl towards Rhoose, increasing traffic gridlock at a well-established pinchpoint (at Weycock roundabout) and offering utterly inadequate face-saving mitigations, increasing pollution and noise for residents, destroying a long-standing open-vista of landscape, building over well-used farmland. HS1 KS1 is simply not the right place for such a dense housing development.
