I have nothing against the outlined strategic aims. However, with regard to the "lived-reality" of the HG1 KS1 site, the various RDLP documents bear little to no relation to the empirical facts on the ground. Vale Planning appear to subsist in a different reality. Thus destruction of a long-standing Green wedge (which in 2014/15 they had defended), destroying well-used ancient farmland at a time increasing food uncertainty and climate crisis, intensifying traffic gridlock, increasing noise and pollution levels, fantasizing about non-existent transport infrastructure and imagining a population walking or cycling everywhere (miles from existing services). None of this inspires confidence.
