Roads - Cardiff Road is already inadequate for the existing volume of traffic, there are frequent delays. This building project can only make it worse. The increased congestion will make it impossible for emergency vehicles to travel efficiently. The state of repair of Dinas Powys roads is currently appalling, extra traffic will cause further deterioration.
GP Practice - There are delays now when making a GP appointment, all these extra residents will make it worse. Is there a plan for extra GP's or another GP practice?
Schools - Where is the school that all the 100 or more children living in these 250 new houses will attend? The existing schools are full.
Shops - There are no shops within easy walking distance, especially for elderly or disabled people.
Construction - Will the quality of building for the proposed houses be of an appropriate standard? There are several developments in the Cardiff and Penarth area where the building quality, by some contractors, has been so poor that residents have had to move to temporary accommodation for essential repairs to be undertaken.
Public Transport - There will be an increased demand for public transport. Will a lift be installed on Eastbrook Station so that passengers who cannot manage stairs can travel easily to and from these houses?
