I would like to register my objection to the development site Bryn Melin, Thaw Valley Cowbridge.
Sustainability
Certainly feel the above does not meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future needs.
This development will have an adverse impact on residents living on windmill lane/private lane at Brookfield park. A complete strain on local services + infrastructure eg. difficult to get doctors appt + schools capacity. Site not connected to public transport thus reliance on increased car use. Cowbridge cannot handle this increased capacity. As for the proposed access to the side off the St. Athan lane, how can it even been considered, so narrow & dangerous, accidents pedestrians. waiting to happen, also not foot path for pedestrians. This site development will harm nature + destroy habitat. It is constantly used for agricultural purposes, currently sheep with their lambs. I would also like to add that Clave Gardens is still not completed, the dreadful buildings instead of the 6th form school on Aberthin Road, future planning permission on land off the Slip road onto the A48 towards Bridgend, also the development to the police station in Cowbridge.
So I must ask why the need for this undesirable, unnecessary development, which can not possibly enhance the character of the area.
