Having lived in the area since 1980 I have seen the village expand to a virtual suburb of Penarth and this development will almost join DP to Llandough hospital. This ignores the greenbelt between the 2 villages and the natural habitats of widlife. no Traffic congestion has increased to such a level there is standing traffic along the main arterial routes through the village from 7am until 7pm making it impossible to plan ahead for meetings. Additional traffic and junctions between DP and Llandough will make travel unbearable, particularly as weneed a car to attend tofamily needs.
Having been flooded in 2020 I dread the thought of how the riskof worse flooding to be exacerbated by 250 houses on top of the Eastbrook. If you walk the intended site now it is like a swamp, but at least that excess water is being held upin those fields!
Trying to see a doctor at the moment is extremely difficult and will be nigh on impossible with anothe 500++ people fighting for an appointment. The village schools are at full capacity and finding it difficult cope with its current intake.
