The VOG's justification for changing the Green Wedge between Barry and Rhoose is a handy fudge in order to push forward its intention to build. Why does the Green Wedge argument against its use for housing, upheld in 2015, no longer apply? The 'three parcel' argument from BR1-3, has all the appearence of a smokescreen.
The land with its old hedgerows acts as a wildlife corridor from Porthkerry Park, providing protective habitat for mammals and birds and the means of moving between areas, so essential for successful breeding. And please note -the skylarks breeding in the field are red-listed birds.
