The council needs to commit to expanding the bus network and providing subsidies if required. Better bus linkups to train stations need to be provided along with additional parking at current stations. The timetables need to be overhauled and increased frequencies of services as at present even residents wanting to take public transport to a place of work in Cardiff for example cannot due to a range of factors. The LDP needs to actually lay out how these improvements can be achieved.

The plan does not go into enough depth in how to council plans to realistically deliver and encourage active travel options. At present public transport services fall far short of the route network and frequency required to make them a realistic alternative for most journeys. Concrete, realistic and deliverable improvements need to be included in the LDP rather than simple vague promises.
