The site is well situated in terms of limiting environmental impact but falls short in terms of access to retail and public transport. Choose is poorly served by trains and buses. With the present public transport network this location will encourage private vehicle use and lead to further traffic congestion in Rhode itself and towards the main centre of Barry on Port Road and especially at the weycock cross junction.
Considerable roading improvements and increased provision of public transport need to be in place before this site is considered for the LDP.
