The Authority & Government need to GET REAL. So called active travel will NEVER work. Most households will use a car. Those in affordable housing will use older, more polluting models. Everybody takes deliveries from Amazon, Ocado etc etc. Walking & cycling is fine for a few under 50's who are able, don't have young children, aren't carrying anything or don't mind getting soaked in the rain. Public transport is completely inadequate. One bus or train an hour with inconvenient times, long walks top and from stops (again in cold/wet/hot weather?). Completely unsuitable for 99% of journeys (eg travel to restaurants, shops, sports clubs, meeting friends for coffee etc etc). Authorities cannot seriously believe that residents will abandon their friends, favourite places etc and become recluses in their homes unable to even have visits from loved ones due to gridlock.

The whole area will become gridlocked as the result of this and other developments, particularly at Weycock Cross. Proposed housing in Rhoose, progressing and proposed, together with St Athan, plus the college at the airport (some 2000 pupils & staff) will completely overwhelm the already congested Weycock Cross route leading to gridlock and severe delays including to public transport). The Authority are aware of this but don't care. Rhoose is already nigh on impossible to navigate at school pick up / drop off times.
