Celtic Way is unsuitable for secondary access due to limited routes. The only options are via the Fontygary Inn traffic lights, which are a pinch point with no pavement and frequent traffic jams, and via the narrow, single-track road through Fonmon, which has reversing issues and incidents of road rage. These conditions are likely to worsen with increased housing development.
Celtic Way need to be removed as even a secondary access for vehicles, other than cycles
Even for a secondary access, Celtic Way is unsuitable. Access is only via two routes. First via the Fontygary Inn traffic lights which are a pinch point with width for one vehicle at a time and no public pavement. Traffic often backs up beyond the entrance to Celtic way & I have photographs of this including associated queues on Fontygary Road. This is not an uncommon occurrence an will become intolerable with additional housing. Second access is via the single track road through Fonmon where there are numerous issues with reversing vehicles in the narrow lane, including some quite ugly road rage incidents.
