I believe the objections raised over the years remain unaddressed. The congestion at Weycock Cross is unacceptable, and adding 376 homes, many with multiple vehicles, will increase pressure. Promoting sustainable transport and excluding home working models does not solve the core issue. I am disappointed that the green wedge designation, including an SSSI, is dismissed despite its ecological value. The area's biodiversity, including hedgerows and woodland, requires guaranteed protection, which I doubt can be assured given incidents at past similar developments. Recent heavy rainfall highlights insufficient infrastructure to support the additional housing.

Suggestions of encouraging people to use more sustainable transport and modelling not including people working from home, is simply avoiding the issue.
It is disappointing to see that the allocation as a green wedge can just be dismissed, despite the area being green open space and a site of SSSI. It is noted that there are benefits to nature in the biodiversity of the boundary hedgerows, ditches, dense scrub, and woodland, which are noted as valuable habitats, but what protection can you guarantee these? Typically damage is caused and futile attempts made to rectify the situation after the event.
The heavy rainfall over the last few months has shown that the structures and services are not in llace in this area to cope with an additional 376 houses.
