HG1 KS2 I subject to this site being used for the extensive number of houses being proposed for the following core reasons: - Road transport in this area is already at it's limits. Cardiff Road is mostly a single lane and regularly congested on weekdays and weekends now. Pen-y-turnpike is a dangerous road when busy, which is becoming more common, with accidents becoming more frequent. I regularly witness emergency services blocked along this road, unable to reach their destination in adequate time due to the congestion. This is only going to get worse. - Trains are already at their limits. Often near impossible to get on the train in rush hour into Cardiff. Given there are no plans to add additional jobs to the area, assume all these residents will need to commute. Eastbrook is not accessible for those unable to cross the bridge (eg those in wheel chairs, prams etc). What plans are there for these residents? - I cannot see any plans to increase services such as doctors? This service is already at it's limits - there are not enough appointments for the residents as it stands, let alone more - Flooding is a constant concern in the village. This open space is vital to keeping our housing flood-free. Building on this land brings risk to the existing houses. - Dinas Powys is a village. Residents have chosen to live in a village. This extension will take that identity away
