I note that the site has poor access to an already congested road, increasing local traffic and flooding risk. Non-road travel options are limited, adding pressure to existing services. The village's only GP surgery will face greater strain, impacting NHS services at Llandough hospital. Green spaces will be reduced, affecting local wildlife, and the village's identity of Dinas Powys will become increasingly diluted and lost.
1. The candidate site has poor access to an already over used and over crowded road which will increase congestion in and out of the village.
2. There will be an increased risk of flooding to an already at risk area
3. There is limited access to non road travel e.g. poor cycle access and good bus/train services and will put more pressure on the system.
4. There is only 1 GP surgery in the village which will be under even more pressure. It will also increase demand on the NHS services in Llandough hospital with increased congestion
5. This will reduce the green space in and around the village with loss of wildlife
6. The village identity of Dinas powys will be increasingly diluted and lost
