Cardiff Road is already heavily congested and widely used as a rat run. Adding around 250 homes would significantly worsen traffic, and the road network does not appear capable of accommodating this safely.
Local GP services are already under considerable strain, with residents often struggling to obtain routine appointments. Additional population growth would place further unsustainable pressure on already overstretched provision.
Schools are at or near capacity. This development would place further unsustainable pressure on both.
Dinas Powys receives less infrastructure investment and maintenance than nearby Barry and Penarth. Existing deficiencies should be addressed before further growth is allocated.
