Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I am concerned about the development's impact on local services, infrastructure, and the environment. The NHS faces capacity issues, with difficulties securing GP appointments and hospital limits. Do the council intend to increase capacity for health services in the area, for example more GP surgeries, staffed with GPs, nurses and support staff? Schools are already full, and more will be needed. Do the council intend to build and staff more schools for the increase in demand that a new development would result in? Traffic congestion, pollution, and stretched train services will worsen with increased development. The greenbelt and wildlife habitats will be harmed, and flooding risks will rise due to additional building and pressure on water infrastructure. I question whether the council plans to address these issues proactively.

I have a lot of concerns regarding this development given the current pressures on local services, infrastructure and the environment. These include:
Local NHS capactity. It is already very difficult to secure a GP appointment, and hospital capacity is at its limit too. Do the council intend to increase capacity for health services in the area, for example more GP surgeries, staffed with GPs, nurses and support staff?
Schools capacity. Local schools are already at capacity. I frequently see residents complaint online about difficulties getting their children into local primary and secondary schools in the area. Do the coucil intent to build and staff more schools for the increase in demand that a new development would result in?
Local traffic and pollution. The areas from Barry through Dinas Powys and Penarth are already very busy with traffic and during rush hours the traffic queues are significant. This creates delays for local people communitng and traveling the area and also increases local pollution. I do not understand how the council can manage the impact of more cars on local roads give there is no obvious way to increase capacity. A new developemt will add the the frustration many local residents have when travelling by car. Train capacity at rush hours is also stretched, with people in using the Cogan train station sometimes struggling to board a train at peak times. More homes=more passengers affecting already stretched trains capacity.
Greenbelt and the environment. Tis new development will eatr into greenbelt and adversely affect wildlife habitat.
Increased flooding risk. More building on land around Eastbrook will put pressure on local water infrastructure, further increasing fooding risk in the area.
