Strongly object! How can this be approved? Where is the common sense? Dinas Powys is a village and it is already being destroyed by it being used as a thoroughfare. Traffic is already building up daily with cars at a standstill or moving. These extra proposed houses will undoubtably cause havoc with approx. 300-500 cars on roads that are already overused and unfit for cars to drive safely (the pot holes are ridiculous and dangerous. One just filled in our street was already failing the same day. Schools are at capacity already, not to mention underfunded and unable to provide for local children who are struggling with/ND/trauma background. I digress. Not to mention the doctors surgery not coping, unable to get through to make appointment. The risk to flooding is high to a village already hit hard from previous flooding. This proposed 250 houses cannot go ahead. There is no reasonable argument to be made for this to go ahead. There are other reasons to which I haven't mentioned yet. NHS emergency vehicle access will only be greatly affected. Only today I witnessed the heavy traffic on Cardiff Road, and two emergency vehicles struggling to get past traffic at a standstill. Lives are already at risk due to volume of traffic, this will only put greater pressure on the amazing NHS staff who already operate under crazy conditions.
