I strongly object to this proposed new housing development as it will have a big impact on the village if the 250 homes are approved. It will bring further congestion to our roads and especially Cardiff rd as it is one of the main roads used as a thoroughfare. The road is always busy with traffic and slow moving and potentially further cars from the new houses will be a nightmare.
The local schools will not cope and they are over-subscribed already. Also doctors in Dinas Powys are at capacity as trying to get through to them at present times is very difficult and it will be worse with these further homes if built. There will be increased flooding to homes as it is at a high level now which has damaged homes due to the river cadaxton bursting and I as a resident was affected by this a few years ago. With all these things and issues in mind this new housing development simply cannot go ahead.
