The Weycock Cross site should be dropped from the plan
For the last 70 years the the Weycock cross site has been well-utilised farmland (arable and livestock) and has been designated previously as Green wedge (and a countryside boundary to Barry). The current plan intentionally moves beyond the existing Barry settlement boundaries and builds into open vibrant countryside. In a time of countrywide environmental crisis and the loss of green habitat such a development appears both cavalier and irresponsible. In other words it is a form of environmental vandalism seemingly to fill up an administrative quota for housing.
