Items 9 and 10 on the list for Policy SSC1 are contradictory to achievements needed for Weycock Cross development. The development will impact upon amenity and character of the locality in being more noisy, more polluted and higher volume of traffic.
The Weycock Cross development is totally unsuitable form this level of housing development. 10 years ago this development was rejected on numerous things for 250 houses ie. Site access, Safety, Green wedge land, Traffic levels, infrastructure etc
Current proposals are for nearly 400 houses, the proposed extra lane to access five mile lane will not to ease traffic will not scratch the surface on traffic levels. The proposal to reduce the size of the roundabout is a dangerous move
