The first issue is the already obvious traffic problems along Cardiff road. The traffic here is a constant concern, with peak times often bringing the road to a total standstill. It is reasonable to presume that the addition of 250 houses will further compound this issue with the additional vehicles.
This is likely to compound the issue further by also increasing traffic to side roads and other entry and exit routes from the village. How do you propose to combat this fundamental problem?
Local facilities and services will undoubtedly be impacted with demand substantially increasing on schools, doctors, dentists, etc. The wait times for these services is already unrealistic for existing residents. How do you propose to remedy the increase in demand?
There are countless other impacts on the environment to consider both during construction and into the future.
Please consider the views of the residents opposing these proposals.
