This is a busy road at all times, to add addition houses along it route, in Dinas especially will cause significant delays. The road has a proposed cycle path which is not completed yet, I also feel that the cycle path will not be used by cyclists. Walking on this road is very dangerous at the best of times. All against the proposed strategy of alternative transport and against SSC1 section 9 ‘traffic’
Dinas Powys needs to have major improvement to the Barry/Cardiff road to allow, cycling, walking (especially to Barry.
The main road could be widened, and given it is now sinking, to the SW of DP, major restructure is needed sone, do this with a widening scheme first, then map the traffic flow (which was I previous reports at capacity) to see if housing can happen then, but only after the flow is improved or bypassed.
Dinas Powys needs to have reinstated the proposed By Pass to enable fluid links between Cardiff and Barry, avoiding the Dinas Powys Bottleneck.
