I agree with the removal of this site from the Candidate List for the RLDP 2021 to 2036. It is good agricultural land, development would be an incursion into the open countryside, and access through the village would be problematic. Colwinston has no key services, facilities, or public transport.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I support developing the land opposite St. Davids Church in Wales School Colwinston, as it is suitable, non-flood plain, and promotes climate change mitigation. Its proximity to the school, bus stop, and local businesses encourages active travel and community access. Existing football facilities are available, and the site aligns with VOGCC policies, including affordable housing needs in Llandow ward. The site does not intrude on open countryside or recreational land, and constraints assessments appear inaccurate. I urge the inspector to reexamine these assessments for proper consideration.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I support the allocation of 3834 (Land opposite St David's Church In Wales School) as this location is perfect due to it being opposite the village primary school.

This land will ensure those who purchase affordable houses an accessible route to drop their children off at the local school. For older children, this land is directly opposite the comprehensive school bus stop. Children can walk to this bus stop and help cut down emissions by using public transport. This will contribute towards reducing congestion around the comprehensive school but also help the environment - promote lift sharing/using public transport and set standards for children growing up.

The allocation of 3834 supports the Active Travel in Wales Act (2013) as it will encourage those to walk across the road rather than get in a car and drive to take their child to school.

This land is not on a flood plane, meaning this is ideal for those who wish to buy affordable homes in the village. It will reduce any risk of flooding throughout the adverse weather in the united kingdom.

Allocation of 3834 is in the heart of the village and adjacent to the main road, the land is not in the middle of the countryside.

Having this land for affordable housing will keep younger generations in the village, meaning they will not need to purchase homes further away due to the extortionate cost of housing prices. This location will contribute towards the village wider communities such as the farm shop and cafe, after school clubs, the youth club, the public house and bring all those members closer together to make a close knit community.
