Net zero building techniques would be a wonderful thing, but have Planning had anything but "vague promises" from Building firms? Are there statutory teeth to deal with defaulting behavior? From everything I have read recently about about such firms in the UK, compared to Europe, there can be a deep reluctance to engage in net zero building techniques. It is seen to eat into their profits. I am sure promises might be made but (as in the recent Barry waterfront developments) unfulfilled promises (and contracts) from such firms often limp along into long expensive legal cases.
