The proposals are not expected to have any adverse effects on the Welsh language. Redevelopment of the former Aberthaw Power Station as the Cardiff Capital Region Aberthaw Green Energy Park will support sustainable economic growth, high-quality employment, and skills development within the Vale of Glamorgan. By attracting and retaining local communities and promoting inclusive workforce and education initiatives, the development can contribute positively to the use and visibility of Welsh, supporting the social and cultural well-being of the area in line with the RLDP’s objectives.
CCR Energy welcomes the Vale of Glamorgan RLDP Key Themes, Vision, and Objectives, which set a clear ambition for the region to achieve zero carbon by 2030 and promote exemplar environmental design and performance. The redevelopment of the former Aberthaw Power Station as the Cardiff Capital Region Aberthaw Green Energy Park aligns strongly with these objectives, establishing the Vale as a regional hub for renewable and green energy innovation and zero-carbon manufacturing.
