The approval of this application by the Vale Planning committee breaches many of the Vale and Welsh Government's own policies such as town centre first, place making and non-coalescence. It will open the doors to future development on green spaces if approved and change the character of the area beyond recognition.
This area should be allocated as a green wedge to preserve the countryside and keep Llanmaes separate from Llantwit Major.
