The strategic transport routes showing access between enterprise zones and culver house cross/M4 are currently inadequate to cope with increased HGV and business vehicle movements. Improvements on the 5 mile lane are a good start but similar work needs to be carried out on other routes. In order to attract high quality business to the area new roading needs to be built allowing high speed access to the M4. HGV's driving along narrow rural 30/40/50mph roads is not acceptable where the Vale is competing against enterprise zones in the other areas of the country with better roading.
