There are more than four hundred new houses being built at the top of Cowbridge, which must comprise the local area’s quota of new accommodation without adding to the rural Vale villages as well.
The development at the top of Aberthin village of 20 houses has - contrary to the assertion in planning documents that the inhabitants would travel to and from Cardiff and Bridgend by bicycle and train - resulted in markedly increased car traffic in and around the village. The promised ‘central play area’ consists of large boulders and a bench.
