Over developments
Taken together with recent developments in the village, the proposed growth of the settlement is not proportionate to the scale of the historic village and is damaging to its conservation status and community cohesion. It is not supported by evidence of settlement based housing need.
The transport infrastructure is inadequate for any further developments. The lanes are narrow with high hedges. Access on lanes for walking and cycling are already very challenging and dangerous, any future developments are only going create a more hazardous environment.
The access on to A48 at 2 points from the village are horrendous at the best of times and further developments can add to the problem.
The site has already been submitted and rejected owing to its unsuitability by the local authority and I see no reason that the same conditions should not apply.
