Further explanation is required to explain the role of settlements such as Rhoose and the density acceptable there. It is considered that the village exhibits spacious standards with bungalows and houses being the predominant housing type. A maximum of 30 dwelling per hectare after deductions is therefore considered a maximum for this area. In Barry Penarth etc 35 is appropriate due to its better facilities and infrastructure.

Rhoose should have a maximum of 30 units per hectare to enable any developments permitted to fit in with the essentially rural nature of the village.
