We are very concerned about the huge hybrid entrance planned for the middle of Gileston Road.
Our focus is to try and work with the developers and Vale of Glamorgan Council to ensure the health and safety of the local residents and school children is prioritised.
Adding a huge entrance and the potential of over 1000 cars with the new homes and retail unit will not only increase emissions, but traffic congestion, air pollution and risk to safety of pedestrians.
Lots of these issues can be mitigated by moving the entrance to the B2465 (opposite the Four Cross Petrol station) and having no road access onto Gileston Road.
A roundabout near Four Cross is the safer, more sensible option. With this, a relocation of the retail unit which would be better placed on the B4265 for passing trade and the inevitable visitors this will attract from Llantwit, Rhoose.

524 houses and a retail unit will increase the congestion hugely in the village. The impact this will have is a serious issue!
