While recognising the importance of affordable housing provision, the proposed concentration of tenure type in a small rural settlement risks undermining the objective of creating a genuinely mixed and balanced community.
Given the scale of Llangan as a rural village, the proportion of affordable housing proposed appears disproportionate when considered against overall settlement size and infrastructure capacity.
Although Felindre Road (past Llangan School) is 20mph, the reality is that it is a much higher speed road because there is no enforcement. Another junction onto the road will be an accident waiting to happen.
