No welsh education in Rhoose meaning children likely not be fluent in it.
I believe place making should occur in all settlements, including Rhoose, before major developments are approved. The community has not been involved but has been informed. Initial comments were summarised by officers rather than genuinely considered. Plan making should be community-led to ensure local acceptance, but the current drafts have failed to do so. Despite feedback, no positive changes have been made, except increasing housing on the Readers Ways site to balance the books.
Rhoose to have a place plan before any further development is approved.
Place making should happen in all settlements before major developments are permitted. This includes Rhoose. The community have not been involved in this plan rather told it is happening. Even comments made on the first drafts for Rhoose were reported as what the officer felt were the themes. Plan making needs to start from the bottom up not be enforced down for there to be local acceptance. Communities need to be heard. The drafts of this plan have not done that and regardless of comments no positive changes (except to increase housing numbers on the Readers Ways site to make the books balance!)
