Effeithiau ar y Gymraeg:

Again development in Rhoose where there is no welsh language schooling will have a detrimental effect.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The role of Rhoose is over stated and more development should be concentrated in Barry and the Service settlements. For example Llantwit Major has many opportunities with excellent services (Rhoose residents have to travel there for some services) yet it is not taking significant housing building for political reasons. More opportunities therefore need to be found in Llantwit Major as well as the other higher order settlements. The candidate sites show that there are opportunities.

Newid wedi’i awgrymu gan ymatebydd:

Sites to be identified via a better candidate site process concentrating on requesting opportunities in higher order settlements reducing the need for Rhoose to take an additional 800 units plus at Rhoose Point and Readers Way over the next 10 years. The site to the east of Barry should be reinstated and documents made public to the Inspector as to why it did not proceed.

Testun llawn:

The role of Rhoose is over stated and more development should be concentrated in Barry and the Service settlements. For example Llantwit Major has many opportunities with excellent services (Rhoose residents have to travel there for some services) yet it is not taking significant housing building. Why? Well Llantwit Major Independents hold the balance of power for the administration and Labour do not want to upset them. More opportunities therefore need to be found in Llantwit Major as well as the other higher order settlements. The candidate sites show that there are opportunities.
