I oppose the said development of 50 dwellings in Wick VOG. The recent new house builds over the last ten years in the village have been disproportionate to the size of the village. Any more would increase that figure more and cause multiple issues including traffic, schooling, disruption etc
Do not allow additional housing to be built.. there have been circa 130 new properties built in Wick over the last ten years which has already seen the village increase by over 50% in a short space of time..
The small village of Wick in the Vale Of Glamorgan has seen exponential growth over recently years with the development of St James Gardens development circa 110 plus properties, and a newly built and yet to be released housing development on St Brides Road circa 17 properties.
Yet another development would see increased traffic together with it's related issues, disruption on the existing estate during planning and building activities.
The village currently has 385 (approx) existing properties, up from 255 ten years ago.
An additional 50 properties would see this increase to 435 properties a very sharo increase in a short time.
Surely the village has taken it's quota of new housing for the foreseeable future already? Are there any constraints on the % increase of a population in a village / ward over a set period defined in the LDP?
This is in danger of not only causing major disruption, but traffic issues and killing the village.
