There is lack of infrastructure in the area to support housing. There are no bus routes, shops or amenities to support an increase in population.
This area already suffers a with a lot of surface water and poor drainage. More building on fields will worsen this situation further, and properties which are already at risk of flooding will be subjected to further risk.
The site borders a rural primary school, and further building will be disruptive to the children.
Any building would harm the intrinsic beauty of the local countryside, putting the delicate habitats of the surrounding hedgerows at risk.
