While recognising the importance of affordable housing provision, the proposed concentration of tenure type in a small rural settlement risks undermining the objective of creating a genuinely mixed and balanced community.
Given the scale of Llangan as a rural village, the proportion of affordable housing proposed appears disproportionate when considered against overall settlement size and infrastructure capacity.
Affordable housing need should be addressed through a distributed model across sustainable settlements rather than concentrated in smaller rural villages where access to employment and services is limited.
