I object due to concerns over environmental impacts, including increased flood risk from building on grassland that currently provides natural drainage, and inadequate wastewater treatment capacity for the proposed housing expansion. Further considerations are the detrimental effects of noise and light pollution, as well as reduced natural light for existing properties caused by the proximity and elevation of new builds. Additionally, there is no existing vehicular access to the sites, and increased traffic from the development would raise road congestion, noise, and vehicle emissions in the village.
Objection is based on a number of concerns.
Environmental impacts - Increased flood risk from building on grassland which currently provides natural drainage and run off for rainwater. Current wastewater treatment facility is not scaled to cope with an expansion of housing on the proposed scale.
There is a detrimental impact of noise and light pollution arising from close proximity to existing properties, along with a reduction in natural light levels to existing properties resulting from elevation and proximity of proposed new builds.
Road infrastructure & access - there is no existing vehicular access to the proposed sites and the increase in potential traffic due to the rural location would inevitably lead to higher traffic volumes in the village and additional road noise and vehicle emissions.
