I object to the proposed housing allocation in Ystradowen as it is unsustainable and unsupported by infrastructure. Public transport provision is wholly inadequate, with only one bus service approximately every two hours and no train station, forcing total reliance on private cars. The narrow rural road network already experiences congestion and safety issues and cannot accommodate increased traffic. Local schools are at or near capacity, with no clear plans for additional places. The village also lacks sufficient play areas, medical provision, and community infrastructure. Further development would erode Ystradowen’s rural character and conflict with sustainability and climate objectives.
