I don't agree with any housing development sites to be built in our small rural village. There is no need for additional housing in this area at all. This would cause far more traffic through the village where we already have serious issues with traffic speeding, the safety of children and using our village as a short cut.

This is a small semi rural village with poor infrastructure and facilities that could not support additional growth. The access roads are narrow and already busy supporting the traffic that already uses them for access and for other journeys.
The planned development site would reduce the buffer between the existing housing and the new data centre which is being built which would be hugely detrimental and would undoubtedly increase noise, light and other pollution.
Any further development would severely impact on the quality of life of existing residents.

The scale of the proposed area to be allowed for development will overwhelm the small rural village community of Treoes. It is also in an area that is prone to flooding and all access into the village is along narrow rural roads. The Village of Treoes has few footpaths and the village narrows at several points which forces single file traffic and is dangerous to both pedestrians and cyclists.

There is no public transport and the site is not reasonably accessible to day-to-day services, such as medical facilities, shops and community facilities.
The proposed expansion of the site goes against the VOG’s objective to reduce the need for travel for VOG residents to meet their daily needs.
The site is in a Special Landscape Area and therefore the proposed development would be contrary to the VOG’s object to protect and enhance the VOG’s historic, built and natural environment.

Treoes is a lovely rural village but the traffic levels are already out of control with people using the village as a cut through. The roads are a mess and the constant flooding over winter causes widespread issues with the road for pedestrians. Adding more houses in the nant cana area will increase traffic. In addition the local schools are already oversubscribed and there are no local GP services or NHS dentists. There's also no walkable amenities so every additional house causes increased road traffic and environmental pollution.

Our small village with its very narrow roads is not suitable for more houses to be built near Nant Canna. The field regularly floods, I have pics to support this, also the tiny lane that runs past your plan site also regularly floods and becomes in passable after heavy rain, something we can only expect more of with global warming. After heart rain the sewage system cannot cop and often floods on the roads in other parts of our village. The road structure around the village is not suitable for more vehicles, we don’t have a bus so poor transport links. Lots of areas of road are without pavements, this needs to be considered as it’s a safety risk. Even the council has told me they will not litter pick on roads without pavements due to the risks involved. I’d ask you take my objection very seriously. Thanks you for your time.

The nearest small shop is in Pencoed to which there is no public transport. Otherwise it is necessary to drive to Cowbridge or Bridgend or one of the large supermarkets on the edge of Bridgend. Access to the site is via small single lane country roads that are not suited to high volume traffic or emergency services.
